Meteorology Check the weather throughout Spain
The haze in
the Balearic Islands
and the east of the peninsula, the intervals of strong wind on the coast of
Galicia, the Cantabrian Sea and the coasts of eastern Andalusia
and the rainfall in the northwest half will be the main features of the weather this Monday.
As reported by the
State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)
, a new Atlantic front will enter the Peninsula and leave abundant cloudiness and precipitation in the northwest half of the peninsula, more intense in Galicia, especially in its western part.
These rains could extend, in a weaker and more dispersed way, to other areas of the Peninsula, except for the extreme southeast of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, where there will only be cloudy intervals.
In the Canary Islands, intervals of clouds
are expected
in the north of the islands, without ruling out precipitation in those with greater relief, and little cloudiness in the south.
The snow
level
on the Peninsula will be above 2,000 meters, dropping to between 1,000 and 1,300 meters in the northwest and between 1,300 and 1,600 meters in the rest.
Temperatures will drop, except in the northeastern third of the peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, where they will remain with few changes.
The
winds
will be moderate from the west on the Peninsula, except in the eastern third, where they will be variable with strong intervals on the coast of Galicia, the Cantabrian Sea and the coasts of eastern Andalusia. It will have a southern component in the Balearic Islands, and a northern component in the Canary Islands.
