An opinion poll showed yesterday, Sunday, that the majority of Israelis believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is not managing the war on the Gaza Strip well.”

The poll, the results of which were published by the official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation, indicated that 68% of Israelis believe that Netanyahu is not managing the war on Gaza well, while 29% said that he is managing it well.

The poll stated that 45% of Israelis hold Netanyahu responsible for the events of last October 7, while 35% hold the army leadership responsible, and 3% hold Defense Minister Yoav Galant responsible.

According to the poll, 42% of Israelis called on Netanyahu to resign immediately, and this coincides with thousands of Israelis going out in demonstrations on a daily basis across the country, demanding early elections, the resignation of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, and the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal.

The families of the Israeli prisoners detained in the Gaza Strip accuse Netanyahu of obstructing efforts to reach an agreement that would lead to an exchange deal, putting forward his political interests.

The Israeli aggression on Gaza has entered its seventh month, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 33,000 Palestinians, extensive destruction of infrastructure, and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
