The documentary film “Power” (directed by Ekaterina Kitaytseva, scripted by Ruslan Gusarov) received the festival’s Grand Prix, winning among all feature and non-fiction films. The film tells about volunteers from different cities of Russia who collect and deliver humanitarian aid to the front.

“Our film “Power” won among all feature and non-fiction films. When documentary films outperform feature films, it means that they are outstanding. This film is about our multinational people, about ordinary people who united to help the front,” said Ekaterina Yakovleva, the author of the film’s idea and head of documentary broadcasting at RT.

The RTD film “Zvezda Zampolita” (directed by Klim Poplavsky) also received a special jury diploma “For creating images of heroes of a special military operation” in the “Hour of Courage” category. The political officer of one of the battalions with the call sign Sumer and reserve warrant officer Zoya Andreevna met again in Lugansk in 2014 - 30 years after studying at a military school. The RTD film tells about their history, about the everyday life of the battalion and its people.

The team of the RTD documentary film “Cossacks” (director Oleg Nekishev, scriptwriters Olga Kiriy, Oleg Nekishev, Alexey Burov) received a gratitude from the State Fund “Defenders of the Fatherland” “For preserving the traditions of front-line operators.” The work tells the story of one day in the life of the commander of an assault platoon of the Cossack battalion “Crimea”.

The RTD film “Strength” was also included in the competition program of the Third International Film Festival “VICTORY DAY” in the special category “Documentary Film Competition about the Events in Donbass.” The festival will take place on April 15-19 in Moscow and the Moscow region.

In February 2023, the RT television channel launched the first international documentary film festival “RT.Doc: Time of Heroes” in Moscow. After the premiere, the festival went to the cities of Russia - Krasnodar, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Kursk, Volgograd. In addition, the festival visited the Donbass - screenings took place along the front line in units of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as in a hospital. The second international documentary film festival “RT.Doc: Time of Heroes” opened in Moscow in February 2024. With the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, screenings of documentaries also took place in Russian houses around the world: in South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Turkey, Egypt, Zambia, Lebanon, Pakistan, China, Nicaragua, Argentina and Peru.

Over the years of broadcasting, the 24-hour documentary channel RTD has produced more than a thousand documentaries, many of which have been awarded prestigious international awards, including the New York Festival, Telly Awards and OMNI Intermedia Awards.

Festival “Date with Russia. Siberian Character” was held in Omsk from April 2 to 5 with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
