It is clarified that the commission was headed by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov. At the same time, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, Alexander Kozlov, was appointed deputy chairman.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a government commission headed by Kurenkov due to the flood situation in several regions of Russia.
The head of state previously heard reports from the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the governors of the Orenburg, Kurgan and Tyumen regions on the flood situation.
