Hezbollah in Lebanon exchanges intermittent bombardment with the Israeli army on a daily basis (French)

The Israeli occupation army announced today, Monday, that it had managed to kill a Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon, with an air strike during the hours last night.

The Israeli army said that its warplanes raided the Sultaniyeh area in southern Lebanon last night, and eliminated Ali Ahmed Hussein, commander of the Hujair region (Rumim Mountains) in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.

The Israeli army claimed that, within the framework of his position, Ali Hussein was responsible for planning and implementing attacks on various routes in the Rumim Mountains area (in the Upper Galilee) against the Israeli home front, and added that Hussein was responsible for numerous operations to launch rocket shells towards Israel.

In a related context, the Israeli army indicated in the statement that the raid on the Sultaniya area resulted in the elimination of two other Hezbollah members, who were accompanying Ali Ahmed Hussein when he was targeted.

Hezbollah's central war media mourned Ali Ahmed Hussein and said that he was killed in southern Lebanon.

Reuters quoted two security sources early on Monday morning, saying that Israel carried out a raid on the village of Sultaniya in southern Lebanon, which led to the killing of 3 people, including a field commander in the Radwan Force affiliated with Hezbollah.

Yesterday, Sunday, Hezbollah announced the killing of one of its members in battles on the southern border with northern Israel, bringing its death toll to 270 since October 8, 2023.

In a related context, Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz said that Hezbollah must be deterred, adding: “We are not afraid of a ground invasion, and the Israeli army is ready for that.”

Tensions have escalated over the past few days between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, with the killing of 3 volunteer paramedics from the Lebanese Islamic Health Authority in an Israeli bombing of an emergency center in the town of Al-Adisa, south of Lebanon, last Monday evening.

In the wake of a devastating war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon have exchanged intermittent bombardment with the Israeli army on a daily basis since the eighth of the same month, which resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
