Smoke rose as a result of mutual shelling across the Lebanese-Israeli (French) border.

Hezbollah announced on Monday that it had carried out an air attack with a strike march on the Ras Naqoura site in northern Israel, while the Israeli army bombed border towns in southern Lebanon.

For its part, the Israeli army said that the drone launched by Hezbollah exploded in an open area in the Western Galilee, without causing any casualties.

Earlier today, Hezbollah announced in two separate statements the killing of two of its members in confrontations with the Israeli army, which claimed that the first killed was a leader in the party, while the latter mourned him without mentioning any description of him.

For its part, the Lebanese News Agency confirmed that an Israeli raid had occurred in the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon, accompanied by artillery shelling targeting the area.

The agency added that the outskirts of the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon were subjected to Israeli bombing, and indicated that Israeli aircraft were flying heavily in the airspace of Keserwan, Jbeil, and Matn, north of Mount Lebanon.

While the agency reported earlier today that Israeli aircraft raided an inhabited house at night in the town of Sultaniyeh, southern Lebanon, killing 3 people and wounding others, whose identities were not revealed.

The raid on the town of Sultaniya also resulted in serious damage to about 10 homes, according to the Lebanese News Agency.

Yesterday, Sunday, the Israeli army announced its readiness to move from “defense to attack” in its confrontation with Hezbollah across the Lebanese border, confirming the completion of another phase of the Northern Command’s preparations for the war.

Tensions have escalated over the past few days between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, with the killing of 3 volunteer paramedics from the Lebanese Islamic Health Authority in an Israeli bombing of an emergency center in the town of Al-Adisa, southern Lebanon, last Monday evening.

In the wake of a devastating war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon have exchanged intermittent bombardment with the Israeli army on a daily basis since the eighth of the same month, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
