A driver
without a valid license
ran over a 70-year-old cyclist and
fled
this weekend in Tudela, at the roundabout located at the confluence of Virgen de la Cabeza and the Alfaro highway.
The injured man, who was taken to the hospital,
had several broken ribs
, which is why the corresponding report was initiated for an
alleged crime of injuries,
as reported by the Tudela Local Police.
The driver who caused the accident, a 44-year-old woman who does not have a valid driving license, had
left the scene
. She could not finally be located, although she was correctly identified.
Apparently, the accident, which took place this Sunday at 11:00 a.m., occurred when the cyclist was inside the roundabout and
the person responsible for the vehicle did not respect the yield sign
.
After the accident, the woman
got out of the vehicle, removed the bike from the public road and left the scene
, stating that she was going to park and then return, although in the end she did not do so.
