Donald Trump had been stung, certainly wounded in his ego. Imagine, Joe Biden raised $26 million in one evening in New York,

alongside no less than two other former presidents

 : Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

It was a record in fundraising history - and the Republican candidate did everything to break another one on Saturday evening. It’s done with these 50 million. The gala was held at the home of billionaire John Paulson, who made his fortune during the 2008-2009 crisis.

To be seated at Donald Trump's table, you had to pay $814,600. Among the guests, therefore, multimillionaire donors, but also Republican candidates who ran against him in the primary, and who hope for a place in his future administration.

This is the latest episode in the battle between the two candidates - as analysts predict that financing for the 2024 campaign will reach records, where more than anywhere else, money is the sinews of the war of life American election. For the moment, in total, Joe Biden has raised more funds than Donald Trump - who pays his lawyers with donations from his supporters.
