According to preliminary statistics, 93,000 people from 215 countries and regions have attended Buyers register to attend the conference. In order to help inbound and outbound passengers fully understand the "144-hour transit visa-free policy", Baiyun Border Inspection recently released policy guidelines to answer questions on hot issues.

With the approval of the State Council, a 144-hour transit visa-free policy for foreigners has been implemented within the administrative region of Guangdong Province. For foreigners holding valid international travel documents (valid for no less than 3 months) from 54 countries, the date and seat can be determined within 144 hours to travel to a third country. Foreigners with (regional) connecting tickets (including air tickets, boat tickets, train tickets, bus tickets to Hong Kong and Macau, etc.) can choose to enter from any of the airport ports in Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Bao'an, and Jieyang Chaoshan Airport. Exit from any of the 32 ports in Guangdong Province approved by the State Council, and the transit visa-free stay area is Guangdong Province.

Entering from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, how to apply for the 144-hour transit visa exemption? According to Baiyun Border Inspection, the first category is: entering from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and exiting from 32 passenger ports in Guangdong Province, including Baiyun Airport, to a third country (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). You can travel within the administrative area of Guangdong Province. If you stay for 6 days starting from the day after entry, you will be exempted from applying for a Chinese visa. If the applicant's itinerary includes a business jet and a connecting ticket cannot be issued, the applicant must go through the formalities with a written certificate issued by the business jet company stating the passenger's identity information, flight number, route itinerary, entry and exit dates and other information.

When entering the country, apply for a temporary entry permit at Baiyun Border Inspection Station with your valid international travel documents and connecting tickets (including air tickets, ship tickets, train tickets, etc.) to a third country (region) with a confirmed date and seat within 144 hours, and the application will be approved upon review. After that, you can enter the country temporarily without a visa, and the period of stay allowed without a visa is the 6th day from the day after your entry.

Another situation is: if you enter from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and then exit from 8 highway ports in Guangdong Province to Hong Kong and Macao, you can stay within the administrative region of Guangdong Province for 6 days starting from the day after entry, and you are exempt from the Chinese visa.

When entering the country, a valid international travel document and a bus ticket to Hong Kong and Macao with a confirmed date and seat within 144 hours (or an air ticket to other regions via Hong Kong and Macao, a voucher for booking a hotel or participating in an activity in Hong Kong and Macao, etc.) can prove that the foreigner has entered the country within 144 hours. (Proof of domestic departure to Hong Kong and Macao) Apply for a temporary entry permit from the Baiyun Border Inspection Station. After review and approval, you can temporarily enter the country without a visa. The visa-free stay period is the 6th day from the day after your entry.

  Kind tips:

"The country or region from which entry is made and the country or region to which departure is destined must be from different countries or regions." Baiyun Border Inspection reminds inbound and outbound passengers that they must not exceed the stay area and time limit. If you exceed the restricted stay area without authorization or overstay without permission, you will bear corresponding legal responsibilities and be punished as illegal residence, and it will affect your future application for entry and exit documents such as visas to China.

In addition, accommodation registration must be carried out in accordance with the law. If you stay in a hotel, the hotel will handle the accommodation registration for you; if you live or stay in other residences other than hotels, you or the host must report to the police station of the public security organ or foreigner service station at the place of residence within 24 hours after check-in. Register.

Baiyun Border Inspection stated that the border inspection agency will not issue a temporary entry permit to those whose passports or other international travel documents are valid for less than 3 months, or who have illegal entry and exit, illegal residence, illegal employment records, etc. within 5 years. Therefore, such people cannot apply for the 144-hour transit visa exemption. If you have any questions, please call the 12367 service hotline of the National Immigration Administration.
