  According to previous reports, on the 1st local time, the consular department building of the Iranian Embassy in Syria was attacked by a missile, killing at least 13 people, including senior generals of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. After the attack, many countries and international organizations condemned the Israeli attack.

  Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a statement on the 2nd saying that Israel would be "punished" for its criminal behavior.   CNN reported on the 5th that a senior U.S. government official believed that Iran’s attack was “inevitable.” The United States is on "high alert" and actively preparing for a "significant" Iranian attack against Israel or U.S. assets, which could be launched as soon as next week.
