At least 13 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, on Sunday evening, after the Israeli occupation forces targeted various areas in the Gaza Strip, while the occupation army announced that 12 of its members were killed and wounded in the battles taking place in the Strip during the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian News Agency, citing medical sources, reported that 6 citizens were martyred and a number of others were injured with various injuries after the occupation warplanes targeted a commercial facility housing displaced persons in the Ain Jalut Towers, south of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, a young man was martyred and several others were injured, after Israeli warplanes bombed citizens in the town of Al-Nasr, north of Rafah. The bodies of 6 martyrs were also recovered from under the rubble of a house bombed by the occupation at dawn today, east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while a number of others are still under the rubble.

On Sunday, the Israeli occupation army announced that 9 soldiers were injured during the battles taking place in Gaza within 24 hours.

Earlier on Sunday, the occupation army announced in a statement that 3 of its soldiers and an officer with the rank of captain commanding a company from the Commando College were killed in battles with the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Saturday afternoon.

The military correspondent for Israeli Radio said that the dead soldiers were riding in an armored vehicle during a sweep of buildings south of Khan Yunis before the resistance fighters surprised them from inside a tunnel opening.

The Al-Quds Brigades announced the bombing of settlements in the Gaza Strip with a missile salvo, while the Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast scenes of the clashes they are waging with the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Army Radio reported that 5 rockets were launched towards Israeli towns around the Gaza Strip, and that Iron Dome intercepted some of them.

In the city of Tel Mond in central Israel, hundreds of Israelis participated in the funeral of Sergeant Amitai Evin Shushan, one of the four soldiers who were killed during clashes in the city of Khan Yunis yesterday, Saturday. In her speech to the mourners, the mother of the slain soldier called for “to come together and stop hatred and defamation.”

As for the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Herzi Halevy, he confirmed that his forces are paying a heavy price in the war. He said in a press briefing on Sunday evening, “We are paying a heavy price in the war and we have lost many soldiers and leaders,” but he added, “We are continuing on the path toward victory and have not completely left the Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli occupation army continued its aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 184th day in a row, by land, sea and air, which led to the death of 33,175 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women, and 75,886 injured, an infinite toll, amid complete destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of residents of the Gaza Strip live in very difficult conditions in the absence of water and electricity, and the occupation authorities prevent humanitarian aid from reaching them.
