As Victoria from Orenburg told RT, many houses in SNT Solovushka (a suburb of Orenburg), where her parents live, are flooded up to the windows. Yesterday their house was flooded with water, although the entrance is a meter above the ground. People had to evacuate: they took with them only the most necessary things. Things that could be found on the first floor were moved to the second.

Now local residents are writing that in some areas the water has risen to chest level. Houses located in lowlands were heavily flooded.

Another RT interlocutor, Yana, said that her mother lives in the Old Town of Orsk. It was difficult to reach her due to communication problems. There are also power outages. The girl had difficulty persuading her mother to leave the house.

In the village of Ivanovka they said that caring people came to their aid on tractors and boats. They take things and residents to safety.

Earlier, Orenburg Mayor Sergei Salmin demanded that residents of flooded houses evacuate, threatening forced removal.
