This document makes changes to the Labor Code of Russia. It is clarified that the employer, on his own initiative, cannot dismiss the widows of the SVO within one year from the date of death of the spouse, provided that they have not entered into a new marriage. Similar conditions are introduced for widowers whose military wife died in the Northern Military District zone.
As TASS clarifies, exceptions to the law are the liquidation of an organization and repeated failure by an employee to fulfill his job duties without good reason, as well as his committing an immoral offense if he performs educational functions.
Previously, the State Duma adopted a law banning the dismissal of widows of SVO participants for a year.
