Israeli fighters and drones carried out more than 10 raids on towns in southern Lebanon on Friday (Anatolia Agency)

The Israeli occupation launched air strikes on towns in southern Lebanon, and an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli sites in the Upper Galilee, at a time when Hezbollah mourned two of its members.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes launched two raids on the town of Aita al-Shaab and the vicinity of the town of Arnoun in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese News Agency said that the Israeli raids on the town of Aita al-Shaab in the south of the country caused severe damage to property, infrastructure, and homes.

It also announced that Tallet Hamams and the Marjayoun Plain in southern Lebanon had also been subjected to artillery shelling.

The agency reported that the night in the Marjayoun district was harsh in terms of Israeli attacks on villages and towns. After the raid on Marjayoun yesterday, Friday - the first time the town was subjected to a raid - the southern neighborhood in the town of Khiam was subjected to violent artillery and phosphorus bombardment on Saturday morning.

Missiles from southern Lebanon

On the other hand, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that 3 missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards an Israeli site in the Western Galilee, while Israeli Army Radio said that sirens sounded in Shlomi in the Western Galilee near the Lebanese border.

Hezbollah said that it targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Ramya site with artillery shells.

Today, Saturday, Hezbollah announced the killing of two of its members in clashes with the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, bringing its death toll to 269 since October 8, 2023.

Yesterday, Friday, Israeli fighters and drones carried out more than 10 raids on several border towns, including raids on Marjayoun, Ayta al-Shaab, and Mays al-Jabal.

While Hezbollah yesterday attacked 7 Israeli sites off the southern border of Lebanon, it mourned 5 of its members who were killed in Israeli raids, and the Amal Movement also mourned 3 of its members who were killed in these raids.

In the wake of a devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, since October 8, 2023, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
