Two months before the European elections, Jordan Bardella was traveling this Saturday in the North. On site, the president of the National Rally castigated “a new barbarity”, “the result of an explosive cocktail between uncontrolled immigration, community tensions and judicial laxity”.

The president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella castigated on Saturday "a new barbarity", "the fruit of an explosive cocktail between uncontrolled immigration, communitarian tensions and judicial laxity", during a trip to the North, two months European elections.

The day after the death of a 15-year-old boy beaten up outside his school in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne) and a few days after the attack on a 13-year-old schoolgirl in front of his school in Montpellier, Jordan Bardella estimated "that there is no longer a single territory in France, whether in our streets or in schools, which is spared from violence and insecurity". The president of the RN, head of his party's list for the European elections, pleaded for the development of "very short sentences" in "closed educational centers".

“Islamist France”

Big favorite in the June 9 poll, credited with around 30% of voting intentions, Jordan Bardella treated himself to yet another selfie session, first in the aisles of a market in Cambrai. He followed up with a meeting in Lécluse, a town between Arras and Douai, where more than two out of three voters got into the habit of voting for the flame party in the second rounds of the elections. In front of more than 1,500 supporters - more than the number of inhabitants of the town - the man who has until then refused to participate in the televised debates had a word for each of his opponents, renaming LFI "Islamist France". To finally send them back to back, PS and LR included: “fifty shades of migratory subversion”, according to the head of the RN list.

Before evoking his "indignation" over the fate of the Valdunes factory in Valenciennes, the last French manufacturer of train wheels which was finally taken over by the Europlasma group but with 131 layoffs, Jordan Bardella had launched: "In the North, it 'was the Corons', causing the whole room to sing. A few minutes earlier, it was the RN's new war prize, Malika Sorel, a former close friend of François Fillon propelled to number two on the RN list, who had cited Enrico Macias and "the people of the North".

Without new announcements on the program, the northern meeting thus intended to galvanize acquired troops, but whose RN staff fears that they will be tempted by abstention - a scenario which had prevented the party from extreme right to win any region in 2021, despite flattering polls. Spearhead of the RN electorate, Hauts-de-France will also be entitled to a second meeting, at the end of May, this time in Hénin-Beaumont, the stronghold of Marine Le Pen.
