Another year during the Qingming Festival, Huang Zhiqian, president of the Guangxi Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and president of Thailand Nobles International Group, took his family back to his hometown of Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi to visit the grave. Although he has lived in Thailand for 20 years, every Tomb Sweeping Day, no matter how busy his business is, returning to his hometown to visit graves is a routine activity.

Tomb-sweeping during Qingming Festival is a traditional Chinese culture, and Huang Zhiqian hopes to continue this tradition from generation to generation. "Overseas Chinese businessmen have a unique advantage in spreading Chinese culture. We must educate the second and third generations of overseas Chinese well so that they can tell Chinese stories well."

China is Thailand's largest trading partner. Since the reform and opening up, a group of overseas Chinese businessmen from Guangxi, including Huang Zhiqian, have traveled between the two countries, contributing "overseas Chinese strength" to the friendly development of China and Thailand.

Huang Zhiqian's hometown of Wuzhou is a century-old commercial port and is known as the "World Capital of Artificial Gemstones." In 2004, at the first China-ASEAN Expo, Huang Zhiqian sold Wuzhou artificial gems to Thai businessmen and made his first pot of gold in his life. Knowing that Thailand is an important gem export base in the world and one of the main markets for Wuzhou's artificial gems, he went to Thailand to do gem business.

When he first arrived in Thailand, the first thing Huang Zhiqian did was learn Thai language and Thai laws and regulations, which paved the way for his development in Thailand. His jewelry store is located in a prosperous area in the center of Bangkok. It has never moved in 20 years and is very well-known.

"As people's consumption level increases, the demand for jewelry increases, and the quality requirements for jewelry are also higher. We are upgrading and renovating jewelry stores and turning to selling natural gemstones." Huang Zhiqian said.

With the rapid development of China and Thailand, Huang Zhiqian's business is booming, from initially selling only gems to involving in furniture, real estate, agricultural products, new energy and other fields. "We travel between China and Thailand dozens of times every year, so we are very busy."

Under the leadership of Huang Zhiqian, his children, relatives and friends have devoted themselves to Sino-Thailand trade, becoming a "bridge" for friendly exchanges between China and Thailand. They promote China's new energy batteries, Liubao tea and other products to Thailand, enriching the lives of local people; and help Thai fruits and other products enter the Chinese market. At the same time, it also serves as a bridge between Chinese and Thai companies.

Huang Zhiqian’s hometown Cangwu County is the hometown of Liubao Tea. As a famous "tea sold by overseas Chinese", Liubao tea has always been deeply loved by people in Southeast Asia. In recent years, the "revived" Liubao tea has returned to the sea along the "Ancient Tea Ship Road", accelerating its expansion into the Southeast Asian market, showing a good momentum of booming production and sales, and rising volume and price.

For more than ten years, Huang Zhiqian has taken his Liubao tea brand to various exhibitions. He attends the China-ASEAN Expo every year as scheduled, and his business is getting stronger and stronger. The Guangxi Liubao Tea Exhibition and Sales Hall he opened in Bangkok attracted many Thai people and local overseas Chinese to come and taste tea.

"We hope to serve tea of friendship and welcome ASEAN friends." Huang Zhiqian told reporters that as sales gradually increase, the company has built a production base of more than 6,000 square meters in Wuzhou, Guangxi, and will promote Liubao tea to more ASEAN countries and Plans to invest in building a Liubao tea storage base in Thailand.

"The development of new energy is an inevitable trend. Thailand is a big tourist country with a lot of cruise ships. New energy cruise ships are quiet and environmentally friendly. There is a lot of room to promote new energy cruise ships." Now, Huang Zhiqian has set his sights on new energy vehicles, new energy cruise ships, and high-tech careers. In areas such as technical talent training, we cooperate with higher vocational colleges to help Guangxi's new energy vehicles, technology, lithium batteries, and talents enter ASEAN.

As the president of the Thai Guangxi Chamber of Commerce, Huang Zhiqian leads members to make positive contributions to China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. He said that the Guangxi Chamber of Commerce in Thailand will continue to play its role as a platform, actively guide overseas Chinese enterprises to participate in the "Belt and Road" construction, and promote pragmatic cooperation between China and Thailand in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education and other fields.
