During the ceremony that he attended in London on February 8 as patron of the London Air Ambulance, British Crown Prince William was wearing a British Royal Air Force uniform and smiling warmly during the medals distribution ceremony on behalf of his father, King Charles.

William was seen hugging Hollywood star Tom Cruise during the ceremony, where he appeared coherent and confident in himself in light of an unprecedented crisis for him as a crown prince after his father was diagnosed with cancer, but the cohesion and confidence did not close the door to speculation about the difficulties he faces now and the challenges posed by the possibility of him sitting on the throne. The throne, while he is not yet 42 years old, and what he might find if the health of his father and wife deteriorates.

His wife, Kate Middleton, in turn, revealed on March 29 that she had cancer and had begun receiving chemotherapy. This came after it was announced that she had undergone surgery, the nature of which was not determined, last January and that she had been in hiding for several weeks due to the disease.

With three young children to take care of, William’s priority seemed quite clear: “Family comes first.” The three children are Prince George (10 years old), Princess Charlotte (8 years old), and Prince Louis (5 years old), noting that William married Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, Michael’s daughter. Frances Middleton and Carole Elizabeth Goldsmith on April 29, 2011, where the ceremony was described as "the wedding of the century."
