Meanwhile, helicopters and other vehicles were used to rescue people who were stranded due to falling rocks and landslides that caused roads to be cut off around the Taroko Valley, and the rescue sites were used as rescue bases. When I arrived at my location, I was given a health check.

Approximately 150 people evacuated in Hualien County

As of the afternoon of the 6th, approximately 150 people in Hualien County, which was severely damaged by the earthquake, had evacuated to four evacuation shelters, including schools.



Footage from the evacuation center distributed by Reuters shows evacuees eating in makeshift tents and volunteers preparing relief supplies in a gymnasium.



A man in his 70s who was evacuated said, ``Earthquakes are still happening every 10 to 20 minutes. We don't know when it's going to end, so I don't think it's safe.''



Another evacuee said, ``The apartment building I was living in is tilted and I can't live in it.If there is an earthquake, there is a risk of it collapsing.''

After that, earthquakes continued to occur one after another.

Taiwan has been experiencing a series of earthquakes since the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that occurred on the 3rd of this month.
