As the department said in a statement on Telegram, as part of a criminal case of attempted murder of the governor of the Murmansk region, the attacker was detained and interrogated, who was also provided with the necessary medical assistance
“During the interrogation, the man explained that he committed the attack because he disliked the governor, although he did not know him personally,” the report says.
It was established that the perpetrator of the attack had previously been prosecuted under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Russia for causing minor bodily harm.
On April 4, Chibis was attacked with a knife.
The head of the Ministry of Health of the Murmansk region, Dmitry Panychev, said that the condition of the regional governor is serious, but stable.
