Amman -

A state of tension and attraction continued between the various Jordanian political components after the increase in the pace of popular protests in the country, and the mass movement continued its daily activities near the headquarters of the Israeli embassy in the Rabieh area in the capital, Amman, in protest against the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, which led to... To the fall of thousands of martyrs and wounded.

Earlier, clashes took place between Jordanian security forces and demonstrators in the vicinity of the embassy headquarters, and the security services arrested dozens of them, while the demonstrators, through their demands, called on the government to end its relationship with the Israeli side and stop all forms of normalization between Amman and Tel Aviv.

Those in charge of the mass movement confirmed to Al Jazeera Net the continuation of their activities aimed at imposing a siege on the Israeli occupation embassy in Amman, which means that the night vigils will continue until the end of the month of Ramadan, in clear disregard for all media campaigns that have recently pushed towards demonizing the popular movement.

National Security Service

The official government spokesman, Dr. Muhannad Mobaideen, stressed that protecting the demonstrators is the duty of the state. He added in his interview with Al Jazeera Net: “We will protect the demonstrations near the Israeli embassy headquarters from any attempt to abuse,” and he said that the Jordanian state has no problem with any political forces, “and whatever We care that national security and Jordan's stability are not harmed."

He added, adding: "The Jordanians who demonstrate near the Israeli embassy must express their position clearly, because slogans have appeared in a number of Jordanian squares of a certain political color."

Regarding the accusations leveled against the Hamas movement for calling on Jordanians to demonstrate and protest against what is happening in Gaza, Mobaideen said, “The relationship between the Hamas movement and the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan is like the relationship between a mother and a daughter, and we have no doubt that they are not seeking for Jordan to be an arena of conflict, because that does not serve the interests of The Palestinian issue, and whoever has an ounce of faith in the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem, knows very well that the strength of Jordan is the strength of Palestine.”

On the official side, the Jordanian government considered that “leaders in the Hamas movement are seeking to incite Jordanian public opinion and arouse its feelings and emotions regarding the war on Gaza,” while local press reports recently accused Hamas and the Jordanian Islamic Movement of trying to “destabilize internal stability,” which is This was denied by the Muslim Brotherhood, stressing that “Jordan’s security and stability are our constants, and no interest takes precedence over the homeland.”

A balanced national movement

Youth activist Hamza Khader said, “The movement in support of the people in the Gaza Strip has not stopped since the first day of the aggression. It is not an artificial movement, and those who called for it were the Youth Gathering to Support the Resistance, and the National Forum to Support the Resistance, which includes prominent Jordanian parties and figures.”

In his speech to Al Jazeera Net, Khader rejected the accusations leveled at the movement that it had foreign agendas. He also rejected any attempt to question the patriotism of the demonstrators and their love for Jordan. He added: “Those who take to the streets in support of Gaza represent political parties with an extended history of struggle.”

The youth activist pointed out that the whole world recently followed the Jordanian movement near the occupation embassy, because it raised clear political headlines about the necessity of besieging the Israeli embassy as long as the occupation besieges Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, and as long as it besieges the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Khader pointed out that “the American and Israeli newspapers covered the activities of the Israeli embassy with much interest and anger, and this is due to the success, strength and influence of this youth movement. The popular movement gathered tens of thousands of demonstrators daily for more than 10 consecutive days, and this is the Jordanians’ message that resistance represents the first line of defense.” About Jordan and Jordan’s interests, and the Palestinian issue for us is an internal Jordanian matter that cannot be avoided.”

Youth activist Muhammad Abu Rumman did not deviate from Khader’s theses, stressing that “the youth sector to support the resistance in Jordan - which brings together leftists and Islamists - aims to push Jordan to sever its relations with the Zionist enemy, and stop exporting vegetables to the occupation,” indicating in his interview with Al Jazeera Net that "The Palestine issue is a local Jordanian issue."

Electronic interaction

Abu Rumman pointed out that “the daily vigils near the Israeli embassy in Amman angered the Israeli enemy, which prompted the occupation to move its tools to attack the movement through Israeli Unit 8200, which aims to destabilize Jordan and create strife among the components of one society, to divert the Jordanians from their goal.” The main thing is to confront the Israeli project on the land of Palestine, and this means that our movement is influential, and therefore it is continuing.”

In conjunction with the increasing Jordanian street movement supporting Gaza, and the Jordanians besieging the Tel Aviv embassy in the capital, Amman, a Jordanian security source confirmed: “The existence of thousands of fake accounts targeting Jordan’s security and stability, and playing to spread discord and division among members of Jordanian society.”

The security official added that the source of the majority of accounts are from other and regional countries, explaining that "these accounts repeat such attacks at different periods, according to the general mood in the Jordanian street, which has risen more during the past days."

The source pointed out that "a large number of these accounts operate under the instructions of the Israeli Unit 8200, one of the most prominent corps in the Israeli occupation army, as it includes the elite minds of the occupation, and provides the military system with all the information it needs about the targeted parties."

Convulsive language, mutual accusations, militancy, and incitement have become the hallmark of Jordanian conversation on the X platform, and there are those who are pushing to divide society and intimidate it.

Reasonable people in the state and society must take the initiative to stop this farce. The exchanges and accusations that occur do not serve Jordan, but rather serve the Zionist project in the region.
