The newspaper at the same time espouses a conspiracy theory: “It is obvious that the Russian and Egyptian media do not just work closely together - they conspired together to promote certain points of view among a wide Arabic-speaking audience through local resources.”

The independent publication EU Reporter wrote that RT Arabic and Sputnik are extremely popular in Egypt, and the RT Arabic website is becoming one of the most visited news sites in the country.

As IBTimes notes, after the death of Alexei Navalny, the West began to accuse the Kremlin of involvement in this, but the “Russian media machine,” whose popularity continues to grow in Arab countries, very quickly dismissed all accusations.

“The following headlines began to appear on the RT Arabic channel: “Reckless and unacceptable statements by Western countries in connection with the death of Navalny” or “The West’s hasty conclusions about the causes of Navalny’s death reveal the true thoughts of Western leaders,” the publication writes.

In publications with such headlines, RT Arabic questions the rhetoric of Western speakers and the haste of their conclusions, emphasizing the fact that the Russian side has not yet made public the results of the forensic examination.”

According to the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation, RT Arabic is among the top three most watched news channels in six Arab countries.
