Study every day in Xin County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, which is located in the hinterland of the Dabie Mountains. The eight-sided red flag sculpture on Heroes Mountain, the Jiangjun Stone on the roof of Sidian Township, and many revolutionary sites tell people about the red history of this land.

This is the seat of the capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area. It has given birth to and nurtured many major Red Army forces and produced 43 all-powerful founding generals.

Every ditch and gully here is filled with red stories. During the Revolutionary War, Xinxian County, which had less than 100,000 people, lost more than 55,000 lives in the struggle. "Loyal bones are buried in the mountains, there are monuments in the mountains, there are martyrs in every village, and there are Red Army soldiers in every household" is a vivid portrayal of the history of revolutionary struggle in Xinxian County.

On September 16, 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping set foot on this red land and made a special trip to the Martyrs Cemetery and Revolution Museum in the capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area.

"General Secretary Xi Jinping stopped from time to time in the museum to inspect revolutionary cultural relics and recall the glorious years. He is very familiar with the red history of the Dabie Mountains and knows every treasure." The scene during the general secretary's inspection made Wang Wei, then director of the Revolutionary Museum in the capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area, deep impression.

While communicating cordially with representatives of the local descendants of the Red Army and representatives of the families of revolutionary martyrs, the General Secretary said affectionately that the red country is hard-won and was bought with the blood of thousands of revolutionary predecessors. We must remember where the red regime came from and always remember the memory of the revolutionary martyrs.

Revolutionary martyrs are national heroes and the backbone of the Chinese nation.

From the banks of the Yudu River to the Pagoda Mountain, from the ancient city of Zunyi to the old district of Yimeng... Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has set foot on red soil several times, paying tribute to heroes and commemorating heroes all over the country.

Staring affectionately again and again, bowing solemnly again and again, and asking in detail again and again, embodies the General Secretary’s deep respect and infinite remembrance of the heroes and martyrs.

On February 2, 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping presented a flower basket to the revolutionary martyrs at the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.

In February 2016, the General Secretary came to Jinggangshan, the cradle of the Chinese revolution. In the exhibition room and Zhonghun Hall of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Memorial Hall, he gazed at the photos of the founding fathers and revolutionary martyrs, and said affectionately: "Jinggangshan is a mountain of revolution, a mountain of battles, a mountain of heroes, and a mountain of glory. This time I came to remember the revolutionary martyrs, my thoughts were baptized and my heart was touched."

In June 2017, the General Secretary visited Shanxi for an inspection. As soon as he got off the plane, he drove nearly two hours to Caijiaya Village in Xing County to lay flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs of the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region. At the Revolutionary Memorial Hall in the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region, he warned all party comrades to "always remember the revolutionary ancestors who shed their lives and blood for national independence and people's liberation."

In May 2019, in Yudu, Jiangxi Province, the General Secretary laid a flower basket and bowed three times to the revolutionary martyrs in front of the monument to the departure of the Central Red Army's Long March. Then, he walked slowly around the monument, carefully inspected the reliefs on the base, and deeply recalled the glorious years when the Party Central Committee and the Central Red Army fought bloody battles in the Soviet area.

In April 2021, at the Guangxi Red Army Long March Xiangjiang Campaign Memorial Park, the General Secretary said with emotion: "The noble spirit of the Red Army soldiers who regard death as home, live for death, move forward indomitably, and dare to overcome all difficulties without being overwhelmed by any difficulties will always be worth it." We remember and carry forward.”

  …………

According to the General Secretary, every visit to a revolutionary holy place is a spiritual and ideological baptism. He said: "For all those who have sacrificed their precious lives for the country, the nation, and peace, no matter how the times change, we must always remember their sacrifice and dedication."

Remembering is to move forward with determination; remembering is to forge ahead better.

Looking back at the prosperous years, countless heroes and martyrs are admirable and admirable. We remember that Li Dazhao shouted loudly before his execution: "Just because the reactionaries hanged me today, the great communism cannot be hanged"; we remember that Xia Minghan wrote with awe and righteousness: "Beheading does not matter, as long as the doctrine is true"; We remember Fang Zhimin’s solemn vow: “If I can still survive, I will shout for China every day I survive.” We remember Chen Qiaonian’s generous message before his death: “Let our descendants enjoy the happiness of their predecessors who overcame all obstacles.” Bar"……

The bloody sacrifices and heroic struggles of countless revolutionary martyrs have made China what it is today. Our best memory of the heroes is to continue their spirit and work tirelessly to create new achievements that are worthy of our revolutionary ancestors and worthy of history and the people.
