According to sources close to Yulia Navalnaya, with whom RT spoke, the issue of replacing her as the leader of the opposition is being actively discussed among political curators and sponsors of FBK. The wife of the FBK founder cannot cope with this function - Yulia prefers social events organized by opposition sponsors to active political activity. Confidence in Yulia is also reduced due to problems with alcohol, the editorial interlocutors familiar with the situation clarify.

Sources emphasize that Navalny’s daughter Daria seems to be a more advantageous candidate for the role of leader of the Russian non-systemic opposition. She graduated from Stanford University in the USA, linguistically and culturally, she is more integrated into the Western political community than her mother, manageable and predictable. Sources do not rule out that to launch Daria Navalnaya’s political career, a scenario may be developed for her nomination in one of the constituencies in the upcoming elections to the Moscow City Duma.

At the same time, according to RT, Navalny’s former associates - Maria Pevchikh** and Leonid Volkov** - who are in conflict with each other over leadership in FBK, are not ready to consider anyone from the Navalny family as the head of the organization and are holding consultations with curators in the US and UK related to alternative scenarios of opposition leadership.

As RT previously reported, among the Russian non-systemic opposition, after the death of Alexei Navalny, contradictions between the leaders of the main groups have significantly intensified: the confrontation is in the struggle for financial flows and grants from Western curators.
