The party said that its fighters bombed with a guided missile an Israeli military vehicle at the gate of the Metulla site, killing and wounding its crew. They also targeted a movement of Israeli soldiers at the Malikiyah site and spy equipment in the Zarit barracks.

The party added that it bombed another gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Admit settlement, achieving direct hits there. It also targeted the Israeli site of Al-Samaqa in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kafr Shuba, achieving similar hits there.

Israeli raids

For its part, the Lebanese Civil Defense said that 5 people were killed in two Israeli raids on the towns of Marjayoun and Aita al-Shaab.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli aircraft targeted for the first time the town of Marjayoun in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, where they fired missiles at a house in the town, resulting in casualties.

Israeli fighters also targeted with missiles a house in the town of Aita al-Shaab.

The Lebanese National News Agency said that the raid on Marjayoun resulted in the killing of 3 members of the Amal Movement. The movement mourned the three dead, while Lebanese sources reported that the bombing targeted its headquarters in the town.

The agency added that the bombing on Aita al-Shaab claimed the lives of two people, and sources reported that the two dead were from Hezbollah.

Hezbollah later mourned two of its members who were killed today during confrontations with the Israeli army, and it was not clear whether they were killed in the raid on the town of Aita al-Shaab or not.

Israeli warplanes and drones launched 8 raids on the towns of Al-Zalutia, Kafr Hamam, Kafr Kila, Tayr Harfa, and the vicinity of the town of Shebaa, while Israeli artillery bombed the vicinity of the town of Khiam. The Civil Defense said that 5 people were injured in the raid that targeted Kafr Hamam.

The Israeli army spokesman reported that fighter jets bombed Hezbollah's infrastructure in the Zabqin area, and the party's military compounds in the Yarin and Aita al-Shaab regions, claiming that what he described as terrorists were working there.

Earlier today, Israeli army forces bombed a Hezbollah observation post in the Shebaa area.

In the past few weeks, Israel carried out strikes deep into Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah sites near the border with Syria, and intensified its preparations in anticipation of launching a major military operation inside Lebanon.

Since last October, Hezbollah and the Israeli army have been engaged in confrontations that have so far resulted in the deaths of more than 300 Lebanese and about 20 Israelis.
