Regarding the Liberal Democratic Party's decision to punish the party over the faction's political funding party, Prime Minister Kishida, despite being in the position of a faction executive, is responsible for allowing undocumented practices to continue for many years and causing great political distrust. We reiterated that we have taken strict action based on this.

Regarding this issue, the Liberal Democratic Party held a party discipline committee on the 4th and decided to punish 39 members, including members of the Abe and Nikai factions.

Regarding this, Prime Minister Kishida stated at the House of Representatives Cabinet Committee on the 5th, ``Despite his position as a faction official, he did not take appropriate action, and as a result, the practice of not reporting the information was allowed to continue for many years, leading to great political distrust.'' The party has taken strict action against them."

Regarding the fact that Prime Minister Kishida was not subject to punishment, Issei Yamagishi of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan said, ``The moral and political responsibility of the party president should also be questioned. Why was Prime Minister Kishida himself spared from punishment?'' I pursued.

In response, Prime Minister Kishida said, ``Personally, I have not made any changes to my personal political funds, and the fact that my faction is not listed is different from other policy groups. However, as party president, I must take responsibility for this incident seriously.'' "I will take the lead in efforts to restore trust, and in the end I will let the people and party members judge my efforts."

On the other hand, regarding a phone interview with former Prime Minister Mori, who once served as the faction's chairman, he said, ``I contacted Mori by phone earlier this week and listened to him. Nothing beyond what the Liberal Democratic Party knew was confirmed."
