This comment was given by the official representative of the General Prosecutor's Office Andrei Ivanov.

“The information that the Makfa group enterprises have suspended their activities is not true. These are, rather, PR fantasies of some lawyers, disseminated by the media in order to artificially create social tension and put pressure on the court to make a decision in favor of the holding’s beneficiaries,” Ivanov said, as quoted by Prime.

The company will continue to operate as normal, the representative of the supervisory agency emphasized.

“The interim measures taken do not interfere with the payment of wages to employees, the fulfillment of social and tax obligations, as well as the production and sale of finished products,” he said.

On April 4, it became known that bailiffs had seized the property of all separate enterprises of the pasta manufacturer Makfa.

At the end of March, reports appeared that the Prosecutor General's Office had filed a lawsuit against Makfa. Makf decided not to comment on this lawsuit against the company.
