“We have confirmed information that in the territory of Guyana-Essequibo, temporarily under the control of Guyana, secret military bases of the Southern Command, military cells of the Southern Command and CIA cells are located,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
It is clarified that these bases and camps are intended by the Americans to prepare attacks on the population of Tumeremo, as well as the population of Venezuela and in preparation for escalation against the Latin American country.
Maduro also added that the disputed region and the Guyanese authorities, including the government, military and police, are currently commanded by the US military, the CIA and ExxonMobil.
Earlier, Maduro said that an attempt on his life was prevented at a rally in the center of Caracas.
