Qalqilya -

While Ahmed Al-Dalu was attending a ceremony held in honor of honoring memorizers of the Holy Qur’an at Muhammad Al-Fateh Mosque in the city of Qalqilya (north of the West Bank), one of the organizers asked him to deliver a sermon about the dawn prayer, and he responded in the affirmative. The Palestinian teenager delivered a sermon that was well-received by the audience, especially the Ministry of Islamic Endowments in Palestine, which asked him to address the people and lead them in their prayers, so he was called “the little preacher.”

From this perspective, the Palestinian child, Ahmed Al-Dalu (14 years old), entered the world of oratory and leading the worshipers in his city of Qalqilya, thus becoming the youngest Palestinian child to play this role after being appointed on a tipped basis (an unstable position) as an imam and preacher of the Mahmoud Qawwas Mosque.

And back 4 years, the story of Ahmed goes back, when he began memorizing the Holy Qur’an at the age of ten, only to accomplish this after two years and become the youngest memorizer of the Qur’an in his province at that time, with proven, complete memorization and skill in recitation and intonation.

Preserver and superior

At the age of 13, Ahmed continued to deliver sermons as a volunteer at the Al-Sunnah Mosque in the “Ghayada neighborhood” where he and his family live, before the Ministry of Endowments appointed him again to the Mahmoud Qawwas Mosque, which it opened recently. There, his fame spread and people began asking for him, coming to his mosque and following the Friday sermons. Where he is, which supported the Endowment’s position in appointing him.

Under the umbrella of a slogan he raises: “The Qur’an does not solve anything except that it blesses it,” Ahmed continues in his life and the work that he loves, and he tells Al Jazeera Net that thanks to his memorization of the Holy Qur’an, he excelled in his studies and became first in his entire school, and participated in a competition for recitation and intonation with the beauty of the voice organized by the Ministry of Education. and education, and ranked second nationwide.

As for public speaking, he won first place in a second competition in his city of Qalqilya, as well as his memorization of the Prophet’s hadiths, also with merit.

With one page a day, Ahmed began memorizing the Qur’an, while this amount doubled during the school holidays, and he continued to review and confirm both, and his interest in interpretation helped him the most, as he supported his memorization with interpretation and understanding the meanings, and thus he found an easier way to memorize.

Ahmed says, “I do my best, and then God grants me success. My three older sisters’ memorization of the Holy Qur’an was the most influential situation on me, as well as my parents’ encouragement and support for me from the beginning, in addition to my recommendation from the Ministry of Endowments, which discovered me early, in addition to people’s support and requests for me.” ".

Expanding his knowledge and knowledge

Ahmed prepares the Friday sermon himself in the form of points and ideas only, and during the sermon he improvises the speech, giving free rein to whatever is on his mind.

In addition to Sharia science, Ahmed expands his knowledge of general culture, and in return, he organizes his studies on a daily basis and without accumulation. He says that he believes that “the beginning of any person begins from the Book of God,” and he adds that this encouraged his fellow children to follow his example and work on enrolling in Quran memorization and public speaking courses. Some of them even sought to compete with him.

Ahmed Al-Dalu is one of more than 100 memorizers and memorizers of the Book of God in Qalqilya Governorate, whose numbers are doubling, according to Sheikh Khalil Khadr, Director of Mosques at the Ministry of Endowments in the Governorate, where he distinguishes between a large number of young men and children whom the Ministry is concerned with developing their oratorical skills and memorizing it, tact and ability to speak in the language. Beautiful style, and conveying the idea in a way that achieves what is desired.

Create competition with his peers

Khader adds to Al Jazeera Net, "In addition to God's grace, Ahmed has a talent that not everyone can attain, in addition to his good reputation and good morals."

What Ahmed has achieved has motivated - according to Khadr - many of his peers and those who are older to compete with him, and Khadr adds that they - meaning the Ministry of Endowments - are seeking to develop their capabilities further, as they initially prepare them to give lessons in mosques and get to know people, and then ask them to preach.

They also reinforce this idea by accepting more requests “to encourage the younger generations to continue memorizing the Book of God and the words of His Prophet, and to raise them to adhere to the Qur’an, because there is no good for the nation except that,” Khader says.
