According to him, NATO needed expansion in order to preserve it as a Western instrument of influence and maintain its dominance both in Europe and on a global scale now.

“Plus they declared themselves winners in the Cold War. Although this is absolutely not true: the Soviet Union came out of the Cold War, so it ended. But they declared themselves the winners of the Cold War, and bribes from the winners are smooth,” added the deputy foreign minister.

Currently, NATO, which was founded on April 4, 1949, includes 32 countries.
