Ian Gagin, adviser to the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, stated this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Indeed, every day we receive reports about the capture or destruction of another enemy fortified area, or about the capture of another populated area,” he said.

According to Gagin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not plan to leave Avdeevka and did not prepare the next lines of defense, and therefore they had to retreat to the fields.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian city military administration, Sergei Chaus, said that in Chasovy Yar (DPR) the situation is now the most difficult since the start of hostilities.

Also, retired Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin, in an interview with former Rada deputy Borislav Bereza, said that Chasov Yar will repeat the fate of Avdiivka and Artyomovsk.
