In addition, the applications of most Russian banks have been removed from the App Store, but at the same time it is not possible to install them on devices from third-party services, and the Apple Pay system does not allow linking Russian bank cards of such banks.
“According to the FAS, the company’s actions contain signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation. The service sent the company a letter about the need to submit to the department a detailed, reasoned position on this issue,” the department said in a statement.
In 2022, Russian users filed a claim against Apple for 90 million rubles due to the termination of the Apple Pay payment service in Russia.
