Report from our newspaper, Beijing, April 2 (Reporter Yan Yiqiao) The reporter learned from the Ministry of Education: As of now, my country's MOOCs have been online for more than 76,800, with 454 million registered users, serving 1.277 billion domestic students. The construction and application scale of my country's MOOCs Ranked first in the world.
Course resources continue to grow. The content of the national higher education smart education platform has been continuously enriched, and it has gathered 27,000 high-quality MOOCs for higher education, covering 12 undergraduate subject categories and 93 professional categories. The platform has been upgraded and iterated 5 times, launched on the national smart education reading platform, connected to 3 provincial smart education platforms in Guangxi, Yunnan, and Gansu, and developed and launched the "Smart Education" APP. As of the end of 2023, the cumulative number of registered users on the platform has exceeded 100 million, with more than 36.7 billion pageviews and 2.5 billion visitors.
MOOCs continue to advance westward. Utilize the advantages of teachers and technology in the east to deliver high-quality resources to universities in the west. As of the end of September 2023, 198,400 MOOCs and customized course services have been provided to universities in the western region. Universities in the western region have participated in MOOC application training for a total of 25,100 schools and 1.8938 million times.
International exchanges continue to develop. Up to now, the two international online teaching platforms "Love Courses" and "Xuetang Online" have opened more than 1,000 multi-lingual international courses for free to college students and social learners around the world, with 910,000 participants in the courses, covering 190 countries and regions.
