The Islamic Resistance in Iraq targets Haifa Airport with drones (Spanish press)

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Wednesday that it had targeted the Israeli Haifa Airport in the occupied Palestinian territories with drones.

It added in a statement that it launched the attack at dawn today, and that it would continue to strike Israeli targets in response to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October.

The Israeli army announced early this morning that sirens had been sounded to warn of possible attacks in southern Israel, and did not provide further details.

Israeli media reported that the warning system of enemy aircraft infiltration had been activated in Wadi Araba in southern Israel.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced, at dawn on Tuesday, that it had targeted the Israeli “Tel Nof” air base inside occupied Palestine, stressing that the operation was carried out by drone.

Last Monday, it claimed responsibility for an attack that earlier targeted the Israeli city of Eilat, overlooking the Red Sea.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues from time to time to target the airports and ports of the Israeli occupation, in response to the Israeli massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and a massive deterioration in infrastructure and property, which led to Israel being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing genocide.
