“Steps forward have been taken, for example, amendments have been made to the agreement on cross-border traffic, which will help eliminate unworthy situations on the border between Hungary and Ukraine,” Szijjártó said.

Commenting on the situation with the language in Transcarpathia, he noted that he is looking forward to the meeting of the Hungarian-Ukrainian working group on education on April 4, since the most important task at the moment is to restore the rights of the Hungarian community of Transcarpathia to education and the use of their native language.

On March 5, Szijjártó stated that Kyiv’s response to Budapest’s 11 demands for the rights of Hungarians in Transcarpathia does not contain constructiveness.
