The protesters demanded the dismissal of the government and a prisoner exchange deal (European)

Videos published - yesterday, Tuesday - by users of social media platforms showed tens of thousands of Israeli protesters, including the families of prisoners in Gaza, taking to the street, demanding the dismissal of the government and reaching a prisoner exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The demonstrators advanced towards the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in occupied Jerusalem, after they ignored the instructions of the Israeli police who tried to prevent them in an attempt to break through the barriers. The demonstrations witnessed the occupation police assaulting the demonstrators when they arrived at the security gates of Netanyahu’s home in occupied Jerusalem.

The pioneers of social media platforms at the Arab and international levels circulated videos of the demonstrations and the unrest taking place in the Israeli street on a large scale, so that some asked, “Is Israel approaching a second political assassination??” They described what happened as dangerous developments against the Israeli occupation government.

The Israeli street is boiling... The center of the demonstrations moves from Tel Aviv to the vicinity of the Knesset and Netanyahu's headquarters in Jerusalem... The head of the Shin Bet (intelligence) rushes to Netanyahu's house and tweets a warning, "The trend is dangerous." Is Israel approaching a second political assassination??

Serious developments

The families of the Israeli prisoners were able to pass the checkpoints and approached Netanyahu's house, threatening to burn it and the city.

While some saw that the demonstrations and violent clashes that took place in Tel Aviv between protesters and the police in front of Netanyahu’s house were only an indication of the end of his reign, and that events were getting close to getting out of control in the occupied territories, and the families of the prisoners were adhering to their demands, including his departure.

Tel Aviv now🔥

For his part, an official in the Israeli Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet) told Haaretz newspaper on Wednesday that the Jerusalem protests near Netanyahu’s house crossed red lines and could have ended with shooting at the demonstrators.

The past weeks have witnessed Israeli demonstrations, demanding that Netanyahu leave power and hold early elections. It is noteworthy that the families of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas threatened to burn Israel if an exchange deal was not reached.

The protesters hold Netanyahu responsible for failing to confront the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Palestinian resistance against the occupation on October 7th.
