Hundreds of delegates arrived in the morning to collect their badges and participate in the plenary which was to launch the negotiations, in particular on the latest texts to be adopted such as the internal regulations, the terms of reference and the working methodology.

But the Minister of Institutional Reform finally announced the postponement of the launch of the work. Murielle Minkoué Mintsa explained that adjustments were necessary, and that it was necessary in particular to train the panelists. Some have accused the ministry of amateurism. The minister replied that the organizers did not want to see the pitfalls of previous dialogues repeated.

All those who will participate in committees and subcommittees will therefore have to undergo training tomorrow and Friday. The Plenary Assembly will finally take place on Saturday April 6, the day during which the commissions will be set up. The work itself will begin Monday April 8 and will last until the 18th.

The following days will be used to develop and validate the conclusions, until the adoption of the final report on April 27 and the closing ceremony on April 30.

The various dialogues that took place from 1990 to 2023 were not often inclusive. It was much more a matter of political parties. So, the new thing is that there is a strong involvement of other personalities, members of civil society and religious communities.
