  This exhibition is guided by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Guangdong Provincial National Security Foundation, and co-sponsored by the Arts Development Foundation and the Guangdong Animation Artists Association. Focusing on the core values ​​of citizenship and national education, the exhibition vividly displays the glorious achievements of Chinese civilization, the scene of sustained prosperity, and the unique charm of a harmonious society through animations, comics and other forms.

Many excellent works express the "great country Chang'an"

  This exhibition attracted many first-line artists from Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China to submit works for the exhibition. In addition, art celebrities from Taiwan, China also actively contributed. The organizer selected a total of 148 comic illustration works and 22 animation works, which were displayed in various art forms such as illustrations and comics that are popular with the public, creating a fascinating visual space and presenting "the great country Chang'an" in a unique artistic atmosphere. historical charm and artistic taste.

  The exhibition is divided into three major sections: "Portraits of the Times", "Bay Area Stories" and "Descendants of the Dragon". Among them, "Portrait of the Times" uses vivid characters to show the Chinese spirit in the current era. Astronauts flying into the universe, heroic athletes, Chinese women inheriting intangible cultural heritage... show the prosperity, development and security of the country from the perspectives of different individuals. Famous cartoonist Xiao Lin (Lin Dihuan) exhibited healing comics based on daily life, and Luo Jikun and others exhibited many comic works with themes of brave pursuit of dreams and warmth of family.

  "Bay Area Stories" tells great stories in comic form. "If History Were a Group of Cats" by Fei Zhi, a popular cartoonist from Mainland China, tells the history of China with cats as the protagonists. "The Father of Hong Kong Comics" Huang Yulang exhibited his works "The Greatest Fear Becomes Strange and Brave" and "Assassination of Evil". On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jin Yong, this exhibition also displays "The Legend of the Condor Heroes - Huang Rong" by Mr. Li Zhiqing. The grand and heroic Hong Kong comic style makes Hong Kong citizens feel more familiar.

  In the "Descendants of the Dragon" section, "Flying Dragon Riding the Clouds" created by Taiwanese comic master Cai Zhizhong has attracted much attention. As "the first person in Chinese comics", the dragons drawn by Cai Zhizhong are simple and elegant, full of Zen.

  Popular domestic animations are exhibited on the same stage

  In addition to comics, Hong Kong citizens also have the opportunity to see domestic animations that have been popular in recent years. Shanghai Animation Film Studio's high-reputation animation "Chinese Tales" attracted many viewers to watch it, and they all exclaimed: "It's not Japanese style, it's not beautiful style, Chinese aesthetics is quite high-end!" Another dance drama based on the cultural life of Lingnan The lion animation "Lion Boy" combines nonsensical, passionate youth, and humanistic care, which is quite in the style of Stephen Chow's movies, and the public is quite fascinated by it.

  Illustrations also shine in this exhibition. A batch of outstanding illustration works showing the style of Lingnan selected by the National Illustration Support Program (CIAC) competition were exhibited on-site, reflecting the ecological beauty, humanistic beauty and the spiritual power of people working together in the Greater Bay Area. It is reported that this event has been included in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023, and is the only animation project of the festival.
