“A criminal case has been opened against the driver of a car suspected of violating traffic rules while intoxicated, as a result of which a man died and five people were injured, four of whom are minors (clause “a”, part 4, article 264 of the Criminal Code of Russia)” , says the department’s Telegram.

According to investigators, on the evening of April 1, the driver of a foreign car, while intoxicated, drove into oncoming traffic, as a result of which he collided with another car driven by a 33-year-old man.

At the time of the accident, there were four passengers in the second car: a driver-coach and teenage cyclists from the Lipetsk region. As a result of the collision, the driver died on the spot, and the teenagers were injured and were hospitalized.

The suspect and his 41-year-old passenger were also taken to hospital for treatment.

Previously, one person was killed and five were injured in an accident with a minibus and a car in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
