Leaving the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Hutsul said that she was invited to the department last week by prosecutor Gennady Epure.

“We expected a shorter time, but we were detained here for four hours. I assumed that the case, which was actually fabricated two years ago against me and the Shor party, would proceed at an accelerated pace, but I didn’t expect it to be so fast,” Hutsul was quoted as saying by Sputnik Moldova.

The head of Gagauzia emphasized that all persons involved in this case, which was started “at the direction of Maia Sandu and the ruling party,” have been identified.

“All law enforcement agencies will answer for such pressure; the PAS party is not eternal,” said Hutsul.

Evgenia Gutsul previously demanded a public apology from Maia Sandu for constant insults and groundless accusations. Hutsul’s lawyers are preparing a lawsuit to protect the politician’s honor, dignity and business reputation.

Sandu previously refused to sign a decree appointing Hutsul as a member of the country's government. The head of state believes that Hutsul “works for a criminal group”—that’s what Sandu calls the Shor opposition party, which was banned in the country through the efforts of the authorities.
