“Bills on administrative and criminal liability for participation in the activities of undesirable organizations, including those whose founders are foreign government agencies, have been submitted to the State Duma,” said one of the authors of the initiative, Vasily Piskarev.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia made a proposal to change the rules for accreditation of IT companies and begin checking them for foreign participation.
Also in February, a draft on the right to recognize foreign organizations with state participation as undesirable was submitted to the State Duma.
In addition, the lower house of parliament has prepared a draft on a complete ban on advertising by foreign agents in Russia.
