He noted that 20 billion hryvnia have already been allocated for the construction of reliable fortifications in 2024. On Tuesday, April 2, it was decided to allocate another 5.6 billion hryvnia.
Shmygal added that 1.1 billion hryvnia will be spent on the construction of fortifications in the part of the DPR controlled by Kiev, and more than 1 billion hryvnia will be spent on the construction of fortifications in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region.
Another 1.5 billion hryvnia will be spent on strengthening the Sumy region.
“All this is needed to strengthen our defense and protect our soldiers,” he wrote in his personal Telegram channel.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky said that three defense lines with a total length of 2 thousand kilometers were being built in Ukraine.
