According to the agency, the White House may agree to lift the pause in part because it did not carry any restrictions on gas exports in the near future.

Also, the leader of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, Steve Scalise, said that Biden’s decision to suspend the export of American LNG is beneficial to Russia.
