The body of a 52-year-old man was discovered Monday in the Rambouillet forest. The body of the man who had been missing for two days according to father, showed bullet holes. An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened. 

An investigation into intentional homicide was opened after the discovery on Monday in Rambouillet (Yvelines) of the body of a 52-year-old man with bullet holes, the Versailles prosecutor's office said on Tuesday. According to a police source, the victim's father, having not heard from his son for two days, went to his home.

He discovered the body of his son "in rigor mortis in his house" and notified the firefighters, said the same source. Several long weapons were found on a rack, including one stained with blood. Traces that could resemble bullet holes were observed when the body was lifted.

The individual had a criminal record

According to a second police source, the findings revealed a bullet entering and exiting the victim's torso and back. A forensic pathologist said one of the weapons discovered near the body had been used "at close range". 

The father, a vulnerable person, was taken to the Rambouillet police station to be interviewed and searches for traces of powder were carried out on his hands. He was not placed in police custody, the prosecution said. According to the second police source, the deceased individual had a criminal record.
