Regarding the issue surrounding the LDP's faction's political funding party, Prime Minister Kishida met with members of the party's executive committee, including Deputy President Aso and Secretary-General Motegi, and discussed punishments for the members involved. Although a proposal for punishment was presented, no conclusion was reached, and the decision was made to continue finalizing the matter in preparation for an official decision on the 4th.

Regarding this issue, Prime Minister Kishida met with Deputy President Aso, Secretary-General Motegi, and Chairman of the Board of Internal Affairs and Communications Moriyama in the Diet on the afternoon of the 2nd, and discussed the punishment of 39 members of the Abe and Nikai factions, which will be examined by the Party Disciplinary Committee. We discussed the contents.

Afterwards, Prime Minister Kishida also met and exchanged opinions with Chairman Watari, Chairman of the Political Affairs Research Council, and Sekiguchi, Chairman of the House of Councilors.

So far, the executive branch has included former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Shioya, who served as the chairman of the faction, and former House of Councilors Secretary-General Seko, who represented the House of Councilors side, among the four Abe faction members who discussed the handling of kickbacks. We are making adjustments to make it a ``recommendation to leave the party.''

In addition, former Political Affairs Research Chairman Shimomura and former Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Nishimura, who participated in the discussions, are also considering severe punishment, including ``recommending them to leave the party.''

The series of talks on the 2nd lasted about an hour and a half, and although some participants presented concrete plans for punishment, others asked, ``Is it okay to treat the Abe faction and the Nikai faction the same?'' Opinions such as, ``If the positions and amounts are the same, there should be no difference in punishment,'' were expressed, and no conclusion was reached.

The executive committee will continue to make final adjustments in preparation for an official decision at the Party Disciplinary Committee meeting on the 4th.
