“After the failure of the counteroffensive, the enemy is trying to gain a foothold on certain lines and positions, but has not achieved his goals in any of the directions. Groups of Russian troops continue to push Ukrainian formations westward,” the minister said.

According to Shoigu, over the past month the settlements of Nevelskoye, Orlovka, Tonenkoye and Krasnoye were liberated in the DPR, and the village of Mirnoye was liberated in the Zaporozhye region. As Shoigu clarified, since the beginning of the year, 403 square meters have come under Russian control. km of territories of new regions of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of January, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 80 thousand military personnel, as well as 14 thousand units of various weapons, including over 1.2 thousand tanks and other armored combat vehicles.

“Despite the lack of results on the line of military contact, Kyiv is still trying to convince its Western sponsors of its ability to resist the Russian army. To do this, he is trying to transfer hostilities to the territory of our country, resorting to acts of terrorism and shelling of civilians,” Shoigu noted.

The Russian military reacts asymmetrically to such crimes, the minister continued. According to him, in March, 190 group and two massive strikes were carried out on the territory of Ukraine with high-precision weapons and UAVs. As a result, military and energy infrastructure facilities were hit.

“We will continue to push the enemy out of their occupied lines and reduce their combat capabilities,” Shoigu emphasized.

The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the Kupyansky direction of the Northern Military District, units of the “West” group of troops repelled two attacks by assault groups of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of ​​the village. In the Donetsk direction, units of the "South" group of troops occupied more advantageous positions and hit the manpower and equipment of the 28th mechanized, 79th airborne assault, 5th, 92nd assault, 46th, 81st airmobile brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in areas n. Belogorovka village (LPR), Andreevka, Antonovka, Krasnogorovka and Chasov Yar (DPR).

Along with this, two counterattacks by formations of the 31st and 67th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled in the areas of the village. Novomikhailovka and Bogdanovka settlements (DPR).

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 250 military personnel here, as well as two tanks, three armored combat vehicles and 16 vehicles. In the Avdeevsky direction, units of the "Center" group of troops with active actions improved the situation along the front line, hit enemy formations and repelled 11 counterattacks of assault groups of the 25th Airborne, 68th Infantry, 24th, 47th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas n. Novgorodskoye, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Leninskoye and Berdychi settlements (DPR).

The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to over 300 people. A tank, two armored combat vehicles, four cars, two Gvozdika self-propelled guns and a D-30 howitzer were also destroyed.

In the South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok group of forces improved the tactical situation and inflicted fire damage on the manpower and equipment of the 58th motorized infantry and 1st tank brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the village. Urozhaynoye and Makarovka settlements (DPR).

Along with this, a counterattack by the assault group of the 128th Terrestrial Defense Brigade in the area of ​​the village was repelled. Nikolskoye village (DPR). In the Kherson direction, units of the Dnepr group of troops hit the formations of the 141st Infantry and 118th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the village. Operational-tactical aviation, missile forces and artillery of Russian Armed Forces groupings destroyed a number of facilities, including a warehouse for aircraft weapons, a workshop for the production and maintenance of drones. Congestions of enemy manpower and military equipment were hit in 152 districts.

During the day, air defense systems shot down 195 Ukrainian drones and 41 rockets from the HIMARS and Vampire multiple launch rocket systems.
