According to him, the leaders of the Belarusian and Russian regions have spoken many times about the need to expand the system of interregional connections with new flights.

It is noted that on April 3, Belavia Airlines will launch a flight from Brest to Moscow and back. In addition, there is already the possibility of direct flights between Gomel and the Russian capital.

Flights to Vladikavkaz and Arkhangelsk will also be launched soon. As Mezentsev noted, flights to Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, Omsk and a number of other cities are being developed.

“We are expanding our tourism potential, we are opening our geography to each other, we are opening our cities, towns, our space, and therefore our souls,” Mezentsev said.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, in his congratulations to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the Two States, said that the leaders managed to do a lot to develop ties between the two countries.

Putin also noted that Russia and Belarus are effectively coordinating efforts in the field of countering terrorism.
