Miguel Carpio, a contestant on the sixth edition of

Big Brother,

was arrested this Monday in Seville for hitting a young man who was riding an electric scooter through the Olympic Glorieta in the capital of Seville.

The victim is hospitalized in critical condition

and, according to police sources, Carpio was subjected to an alcohol and drug test that came back positive.

As reported by

ABC Sevilla

, the accident had a witness who saw how the victim was thrown up to 30 meters after the impact of Carpio's vehicle.

This is a local police officer who was off duty

and who was the first person to help the 20-year-old man who was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Miguel Carpio was arrested the moment the drug test came back positive and transferred to the

National Corps police station in Blas Infante,

where he spent the night in the cells. The former

Big Brother

contestant is awaiting trial for a crime against road safety and possible attempted reckless homicide. If the victim ends up dying, his judicial situation could change for the worse.

Miguel Carpio is a nightlife businessman and his name came to light a few months ago due to a shooting that occurred in the vicinity of a place he ran. Carpio then complained about how this event was affecting his business and made statements in which he pointed out that it was a

Big Brother

as Public Relations. Inside the house he had a relationship with a companion and was the fourth expelled.
