A statement published by the Russian Foreign Ministry indicates that during this meeting, a wide range of current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, with an emphasis on practical cooperation.

“We called on Singaporean partners to reconsider their current line of joining illegal anti-Russian sanctions, which are the main obstacle to increasing Russian-Singaporean interaction in various fields,” the diplomatic department added.

Earlier, Deputy Minister for Development of the Far East and Arctic Pavel Volkov spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Singapore, China, India, Turkey and Brazil.
