On the morning of April 2, enterprises in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk were attacked using drones, said the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“There is no serious damage, the technological process of the enterprises has not been disrupted. In Yelabuga, unfortunately, there are victims as a result of the destruction of the premises. They are provided with all the necessary help,” he wrote on Telegram.
The head of the republic noted that all services are on high alert. He called on people to remain calm and not give in to the panic that those who initiated this attack are trying to sow.
In turn, the general director of the Alabuga SEZ, Timur Shagivaleev, clarified that the blow on the territory of the enterprise hit the dormitory. According to him, the drones used in the attack were equipped with equipment from NATO countries.
“Indeed, they are attacking shopping centers in Moscow, they are attacking residential areas in Belgorod, they are attacking hostels at 05:45 in the morning in Alabuga.” It is against such people that we are conducting a special military operation,” Shagivaleev said in a recording published on the Telegram channel of the Alabuga SEZ.

As follows from a publication on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan, six were injured as a result of the drone attack. It is noted that their lives and health are not in danger.
“Three have already been sent home after being examined by doctors. Three more were hospitalized, they are now undergoing a medical examination and, after providing the necessary assistance, will also be released home,” the message says.
In a conversation with RIA Novosti, a representative of the emergency services of Tatarstan clarified that in Nizhnekamsk, a drone attacked the Taneko plant, part of the Tatarstan oil refining complex, at 04:22 Moscow time.
According to the agency's interlocutor, as a result of the kamikaze drone attack, a fire broke out, which was extinguished after 20 minutes.
The situation in the Belgorod region and border areas
On the evening of April 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that air defense systems on duty destroyed two Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region.
Along with this, the department spoke about the work of the artillerymen of the “West” group of troops, who continue to inflict fire on the accumulation of manpower and equipment of Ukrainian nationalists in the border areas of the Belgorod region.
As the press service of the department said, Russian artillery crews hit command posts, camouflaged armored combat vehicles of Ukrainian DRGs, and also conduct counter-battery combat with enemy artillery and mortar crews around the clock.
It is noted that now military personnel primarily work on targets identified during visual reconnaissance at the front line.
As the deputy commander of the howitzer battery, call sign Acoustic, clarified, the fighters provide cover for the state border and are engaged in suppressing firing points, as well as detected clusters of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“We work both on coordinates and on adjustments from quadcopters based on detected targets. We identify them, defeat them, and work. I remember the damaged vehicles, artillery pieces, and mortars. We are also covering places where enemy personnel are carrying out loading and unloading operations,” the press service of the Ministry of Defense quotes him as saying.
