Occupation soldiers during a previous storming of Tulkarm (Anatolia - Archive)

The occupation army withdrew from the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank at dawn on Monday after storming the home of freed prisoner Alaa Shreiteh. Its forces also carried out demolitions of facilities in the town of Hizma, north of occupied Jerusalem.

The occupation forces accuse Alaa Shreiteh of being behind the Beit Lid operation early last November, which led to the death of an Israeli soldier.

The occupation forces pushed military vehicles from the Taiba checkpoint, southwest of Tulkarm, towards Al-Haddadeen Street, the city center, and the Shweika roundabout.

In occupied Jerusalem, bulldozers belonging to the occupation municipality began demolishing facilities and shops in the town of Hizma, north of the city, under the pretext of not having a license.

Eyewitnesses from the town's residents reported that members of the occupation municipality stormed the town at dawn today, under the protection of police and army forces, imposed a security cordon at its entrance and began demolition operations.

The occupation forces continue to escalate their attacks against the Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, coinciding with their war on the Gaza Strip.

The occupation army has arrested more than 7,895 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, according to data from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club until yesterday, Sunday.
